Sheep Storm Into German Supermarket: Animals Create Chaos and Receive a Year’s Supply of Feed

According to ТСН: In Bavaria, supermarket visitors witnessed a bizarre incident: about 50 sheep suddenly ran through the sales floor in search of food. The animals came from a nearby field and headed straight for the store entrance, astonishing passersby.

Unexpected Appearance of Sheep in the Store

This incident occurred on Monday. Video shows the sheep confidently entering the building and stopping near the checkout. They lingered there for about 20 minutes, not rushing to leave the store, despite the attempts of staff and customers to guide them back outside. People banged on the counters, trying to coax the animals, but they seemed determined to take their own 'tour' among the store aisles.

Chaos and Consequences

According to the ZDF channel, there was real chaos in the store: bottles and products were falling to the floor, and some visitors had to jump onto the checkout belts to avoid contact with the agitated 'guests'. It is believed that the sheep had separated from a flock of about 500 animals.

When the flock decided to return to their 'relatives', they quickly bolted out of the store, leaving behind quite a mess, including manure. The shepherd suggested that the animals might have mistaken a customer's shopping bag for a sack of feed, which led them to the supermarket.

Viral Popularity of the Event

The incident quickly went viral. The German embassy in London even published a photo from the store, jokingly referring to Bavaria as 'Baa-varia'. As a result, the sheep not only escaped sanctions but also received a year’s supply of feed as thanks for the publicity the supermarket gained from their unusual visit.

This case again confirms how random events can attract public attention and evoke positive emotions. It also shows that sometimes even animals can bring unexpected joy and distract us from the mundane.
