In Ukraine, disability established for life is granted exclusively to individuals with irreversible health impairments that cannot be improved. However, other citizens must undergo a repeated disability assessment, after which, in case of confirmation of the group, the payments are reassigned.
A disability pension is a state payment granted to citizens who, due to their health condition, have partially or completely lost their ability to work. The amounts of such pensions are tied to the disability group in percentage of the old-age pension.
