Peace Negotiations in Abu Dhabi Enter New Phase
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on the evening of February 2 that discussions regarding peace initiatives in Abu Dhabi have progressed to a second stage. The head of state emphasized the critical importance of these negotiations for securing a lasting peace for Ukraine.
Meeting Schedule and U.S. Support
Meetings are scheduled to continue on Wednesday and Thursday as part of this diplomatic effort. Zelenskyy stated that his team is working closely with American counterparts to scale up viable solutions for peace. He also underscored the necessity for decisive U.S. backing in engaging with Russia.
'It is vital that America decisively supports this dialogue and works with the Russian side at this time, so that Russian strikes and terror do not derail what can be achieved,' noted Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Abu Dhabi talks could prove pivotal for Ukraine's future, representing a concerted effort by its leadership to mobilize international backing and explore pathways to end the conflict. These negotiations are part of a broader diplomatic push by Kyiv to find a sustainable resolution. The active involvement of the United States is seen as potentially increasing the chances for a compromise and de-escalating violence in the region.
