Do working pensioners need to submit an application for pension recalculation?

The recalculation does not require a request to the Pension Fund of Ukraine — the system automatically considers additional experience and income if they affect payments. This means that pensioners do not need to submit any applications or visit the office.

If two years have passed since the last increase, but less than 24 months of experience have been accumulated, the pension will also increase — but only due to the additional experience, without considering the new salary.

Who will not receive a pension increase?

The increase will not be provided to several categories of pensioners, including those who:

• did not work after retirement;
• have a pension for years of service but have not yet reached the age of 60;
• have not acquired sufficient insurance experience after the pension was granted.

According to the information from the Pension Fund, over 600 thousand Ukrainians will receive updated payments in October. The average increase will range from 200 to 800 hryvnias, depending on the duration of additional experience and the level of salary.

Such recalculations are carried out annually to account for the labor activities of pensioners who remain in the labor market. This encourages official employment and ensures a more equitable share of pension payments.
