Ukraine received $1 billion that is backed by income from frozen Russian assets. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
He added that this is the first tranche of the planned $20 billion that the USA is ready to provide by using blocked Russian assets within the framework of the G7 initiative.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to American partners and the World Bank for this important step towards justice.
We hope that all sovereign Russian assets will be seized and directed towards the recovery of Ukraine
