Teenager sat on the monument to the Hero of the Heavenly Hundred: mother fined 1400 hryvnias.
In the village of Dunayiv, Ternopil region, a minor boy climbed onto the monument to the Hero of the Heavenly Hundred, Oleksandr Kapinos. The teenager is not yet 16 years old, so his mother was held administratively responsible.
This is mentioned in the verdict delivered by the Kremenets District Court of Ternopil region on June 28.
Case Details
According to court materials, on May 10 at around 8:00 PM, the minor climbed onto the monument to the Hero of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kapinos. This act caused indignation among local residents and relatives of the fallen Hero. The teenager published a photo of himself sitting on the monument in his stories. Commenting on this act, Oleksandr Kapinos' sister, Natalia Kapinos, wrote:
'This is the one who sat on the back and dropped his legs, this is the one who spat in the direction of all the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and the Heavenly army... I don't know what prompted the fellow countryman to commit this rotten act'.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against the boy's mother.
Court Ruling
During the court session, the offender's mother promised that there would be no similar incidents in the future. The woman was found guilty of failing to fulfill parental duties. For the offense, she must pay a fine of 805 hryvnias and 605 hryvnias in court fees.
The court's decision could be appealed within ten days from the date of proclamation. Currently, it has already taken legal effect.
