According to Novyny.live: Starting in March 2026, Ukrainian military personnel and their families will be eligible for state benefits, including subsidies for utility bills, administered through the Ukrainian Pension Fund. For instance, spouses of soldiers with the status of a combatant (UBD) will qualify for a 75% discount on housing payments, significantly easing the financial burden on service members' households. A 75% compensation for the cost of heating fuel is also available for homes without centralized heating systems.

Discounts on Utility Services

The subsidy program extends to cover utilities such as gas, electricity, and water. For individuals who have sustained a war-related disability, the discount will be 100%. The benefit is calculated based on 21 square meters of heated area per resident, plus an additional 10.5 square meters for the entire family. In households consisting solely of non-working individuals, the calculation norm increases to 42 square meters per person and 21 square meters for the family.

As noted by Ukraine's Ministry of Defense, the funds are provided as a reimbursement: beneficiaries first pay the full amount for utilities and later receive compensation to their bank card.
