Ukrzaliznytsia's 2026 Concessionary Travel Program
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine's state railway operator, Ukrzaliznytsia, will maintain its concessionary travel program for eligible passenger groups throughout 2026. This initiative offers discounted and free tickets to enhance transport accessibility for children, students, combat veterans, people with disabilities, and other categories. While some discounts are available year-round, others are restricted to the seasonal period from October 1 to May 15.
Eligible Groups and Benefits
Under current regulations, children aged 6 to 14 are eligible for a 25% fare reduction. Pupils and students qualify for a 50% discount. Combat veterans can receive one free trip every two years or a 50% discount once per year. Parents of fallen military personnel are also entitled to a 50% fare reduction.

Additionally, people with a Group III disability can take one free trip every two years or receive a 50% discount during the seasonal period. Victims of Nazi persecution also qualify for one free trip every two years or a 50% ticket discount.

Furthermore, people with a Group I disability and children with disabilities have the right to unlimited 50% discounts on trips during the season. One accompanying person for an individual with a disability may also receive a 50% discount.
