According to ТСН: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky pointed out two unresolved issues within the peace plan that were discussed during his meeting with Donald Trump.

Security Issues

In response to journalists' questions, Zelensky noted that misunderstandings concern the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and territorial issues.

“This is a station, how it will operate, Zaporizhzhia nuclear and territorial issues. These are the two issues that remain in the 20-point document. And that’s why I said that this 20-point plan is 90% ready because there is no agreement on two points of the 20,” Zelensky said.

Security Guarantees

The president also confirmed that regarding security guarantees for Ukraine, everything is 100% ready.

“Yes, we will discuss (with the USA - ed.) a few more details regarding the duration of these security guarantees,” adds the president.

Zelensky reported that as a result of negotiations with Trump, a military bloc of security guarantees was agreed upon in Ukraine and the USA. The current draft of the document includes commitments for 15 years; however, the Ukrainian leader proposed to Trump to extend this term to 50 years to ensure long-term peace. The US president promised to consider this initiative. In addition to the military aspect, trilateral guarantees involving Europe are 90% agreed upon, and an economic development plan is also being finalized.

Thus, negotiations between Ukraine and the USA are at an important stage. Resolving issues concerning the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and territorial aspects will be crucial for further stability in the region. Progress in military and economic guarantees underscores the seriousness of both countries' intentions to ensure long-term security and stability in Ukraine.
