A deputy who justified Russian aggression was detained
Near the border with Slovakia, border guards detained a man who turned out to be a deputy of one of the city councils in the Cherkasy region, who is accused of justifying, denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service.
Border guards of the Chop detachment detained a citizen of Ukraine who tried to illegally cross the Ukrainian-Slovak border. He was discovered during patrol by a border patrol of the "Velykyi Bereznyi" department several hundred meters from the state border. An unknown person, who was heading towards Slovakia, was stopped near the barrier fence.
Carrying out verification measures revealed that the detainee is a deputy of one of the city councils in the Cherkasy region, who is accused of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 and Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Justifying, recognizing as lawful, denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorifying its participants".
The State Border Guard Service reported that the man was taken to a border unit for administrative responsibility under Article 204-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine." After carrying out the necessary measures, the detainee was handed over to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
In the Odesa region, border guards of the Podilsk detachment, together with law enforcement officers, detained a large group of men who planned to illegally cross the border. The violators were detected using a drone. According to the investigation, the figures attempted to illegally deliver 48 conscription-age men to Moldova at a cost of 150 thousand UAH each.
