According to Novyny.live: Starting January 1, 2026, Ukrainian citizens holding the title 'Honorary Donor of Ukraine' will receive an increased supplement to their state pension. This policy aims to provide financial support to individuals who have made significant, unpaid contributions to the nation's healthcare system by donating blood and its components.

The new supplement will be calculated as 10% of the official subsistence minimum, which is projected to be 3,209 hryvnias at that time. This results in an additional payment of approximately 321 hryvnias. This increase represents a tangible form of state recognition for those who have earned this distinguished title.

The Significance of Donor Status

The 'Honorary Donor of Ukraine' title is awarded for meeting specific thresholds of voluntary, unpaid donations:

• 40 maximum allowable single donations of whole blood,
• 60 donations of plasma,
• or 40 donations of cellular blood components.
