According to TSN.ua: An anticyclone will bring dry, sunny conditions and above-average temperatures to Ukraine this weekend. However, some regions may experience fog and a risk of flooding. This early March warmth is a notable departure from typical seasonal patterns for the region.

Forecasts indicate a mix of sun and clouds across the country. On Saturday, March 7, daytime highs are expected to range from +5 to +12 degrees Celsius. Temperatures could reach up to +13 degrees in western and southern areas. Eastern parts of the country will see daytime highs of up to +9 degrees, though nighttime lows there could drop to a chilly -6 degrees.

  • Kyiv: Night: 0 to -5 degrees; Day: +3 to +8 degrees.
  • Odesa Region: Night: -4 to +1 degrees; Day: +5 to +10 degrees.
  • Kharkiv: Night: -1 to -6 degrees; Day: +1 to +6 degrees.

Meteorologists report that water levels in the Southern Bug River basin are expected to rise by 0.1 to 0.3 meters. Consequently, a yellow, first-level danger warning has been issued for Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Odesa regions, with residents alerted to potential local flooding.

'The anticyclone will bring dry and sunny weather to Ukraine,' noted Natalia Didenko.

Ihor Kibalchych also emphasized that 'this weekend Ukraine will have dry and clear weather with temperatures 2–5 degrees above the norm.' While Ukrainians can generally anticipate pleasant conditions, caution is advised in areas susceptible to flooding. Residents in at-risk zones should monitor updates from meteorological services and take necessary precautions.
