Paris: amateurs stole $102 million worth of valuables from the Louvre.
According to inkorr.com: An astonishing robbery occurred at the Louvre in Paris, causing damage amounting to $102 million. Prosecutor Lore Beccuo reported that the crime was committed not by professional criminals but by ordinary thieves. Two men used a freight elevator to reach the second floor of the museum, broke a window, and stole valuable historical artifacts.
This is not a typical crime that we usually associate with high-level organized crime.
The police have already detained four suspects, two of whom partially admitted their guilt. However, the person who directly committed the theft has gone missing, and the stolen valuables are still not found.
Attention to the crime at the Louvre
This case, carried out by amateurs, has attracted widespread attention worldwide. The unusual nature of the crime has shocked many and demonstrated how vulnerable even prestigious institutions like the Louvre museum can be.
It is worth noting that such incidents raise questions about security measures in museums and galleries around the world. And although the Louvre is one of the most secure museums, this case once again confirms that no one is immune from the unexpected. This event will undoubtedly serve as an important precedent for strengthening security measures in cultural institutions.
