Poland has released new safety instructions after residents ignored alarms.
According to inkorr.com: In the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland on September 13, some local residents ignored air raid signals, causing concern among government circles. The Ministry of Interior and the Government Security Center decided to issue detailed recommendations for the population.
Alarm signals and public reaction
Threat signals of air strikes were sent to residents of the region after Russian drones violated Polish airspace on September 10. Although sirens were heard in the towns of Chełm and Świdnik, it was noted that 'the people's reaction was almost nonexistent.'
Government recommendations
The Ministry of Interior and the State Fire Service emphasize the importance of following behavior rules in emergencies. In case of an alarm, it is necessary to remain calm, follow the instructions of emergency services, turn on local radio or television, check if loved ones are safe, and prepare an 'evacuation backpack.' An official alarm announcement is accompanied by a specific siren sound.
Additional safety measures
After the incident with the violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones, the Foreign Minister proposed the idea of intercepting these drones by NATO in the airspace of Ukraine and controlling incoming Russian vessels in the Baltic Sea.
In Poland, the situation with drone violations of airspace is actively discussed, and the government is taking measures to ensure the safety of the population and monitor events in the region. These events highlight the importance of society's readiness to respond to threats, considering the military situation near the country's eastern border.
