Court in Warsaw arrested two suspects in railway sabotage

According to ТСН: The District Court of Warsaw has decided to take into custody two suspects, Yevhen I. (41 years old) and Oleksandr K. (39 years old), in connection with the sabotage on the railway tracks in Poland that occurred on November 15 and 16.

National Prosecutor's Office spokesman Przemysław Novak reported that this court decision allowed the prosecutor's office to issue warrants for the arrest of these men, to be executed no later than Friday.

Prosecutor's Action Plan

The issuance of a national arrest warrant opens the way for international measures, particularly the issuance of a European Arrest Warrant and a request for a red notice from Interpol. This also allows for the publication of the suspects' photographs.

Incident Details

The sabotage, for which the men are suspected, took place on the Warsaw-Lublin railway line: the tracks were damaged in the town of Mice and the traction network near Puławy.

According to the investigation information, the suspects Yevhen I. and Oleksandr K. have currently left Polish territory and traveled to Belarus.

It is reminded that sabotage acts on the tracks in Poland occurred on November 15 and 17. The first event took place near Żychin in the Mazovia Voivodeship, where an explosion damaged the tracks, and another unexploded device was found nearby.

It was also reported earlier that Polish law enforcement has evidence indicating the likely involvement of another Ukrainian citizen in the acts of sabotage on the railway infrastructure.

In the current situation regarding Poland's railway infrastructure, coordination of law enforcement actions for ensuring safety is particularly important. The current measures by the prosecutor's office demonstrate the seriousness of intentions to punish those involved in the sabotage. Further investigations may reveal more details regarding potential accomplices and the scenario of these incidents.
