According to inkorr.com: Two Polish border guards sustained serious injuries in Tbilisi during a joint operation with Frontex. The assailant attacked them with a knife and metal rods. Authorities are currently investigating potential connections between the criminal and extradited individuals.
“Two of our employees were hospitalized with serious head injuries. One has been operated on, the other is undergoing surgery,” said Border Guard spokesman Andrzej Juzwiak.
Local police have already started an investigation into the incident, while Poland and Ukraine are strengthening border security with Belarus by implementing new security and monitoring measures.
As part of the joint operation with Frontex, Polish border guards sustained serious injuries in Tbilisi, but their condition remains unknown at this time.
