Polish police detained a streamer for hate crimes: details of the case.
Polish streamer and activist Pavel N., better known as Nazar, was detained by law enforcement representatives. Among the allegations are inciting hatred based on national and religious grounds. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to Rmf24.
Detention and charges
According to inkorr.com: A 44-year-old man was detained by police officers on Friday, October 31. A narcotic substance, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), found in cannabis, was detected in his system. He was charged with several offenses, including threats, propaganda of violence, calls for hatred based on national and religious grounds, supporting symbols that endorse Russian aggression against Ukraine, and illegal disclosure of personal data.
In Przemyśl, Polish police detained individuals who tore down the Ukrainian flag from the house of the honorary consulate of Ukraine in Przemyśl. Law enforcement identified and apprehended two men - residents of Przemyśl aged 21 and 23.
Increase in hate crimes
Polish police record a significant increase in hate crimes against Ukrainians. According to law enforcement, from January to July 2025, there were 543 investigations into such crimes, which is 41% more than in the same period in 2024, when 384 incidents were reported.
These events in Poland vividly illustrate the exacerbation of the problem of open propaganda of violence and hatred in society. The increase in hate crimes raises serious concern and necessitates urgent measures from the government and the public to prevent such incidents in the future.
