Financial Aid for Housing Now Available to Displaced and Vulnerable in Poltava Region.
Registration Opens for 'Multisectoral Assistance for War-Affected People' Program
According to Novyny.live: The 'Caritas Poltava' charitable foundation has launched a new initiative, the 'Multisectoral Assistance for War-Affected People in Ukraine' project, offering financial support for housing rental costs. This program is now open for registration to eligible internally displaced persons (IDPs) across the city of Poltava and the wider Poltava region. The ongoing conflict has displaced millions within Ukraine, creating a severe housing crisis for vulnerable groups.
Successful applicants will receive rental assistance for a period of six months. To qualify, the average monthly income per family member must not exceed 6,318 Ukrainian hryvnias (UAH). This financial aid aims to significantly ease the housing burden for those most impacted by the war.
Eligibility Criteria for Assistance
The program targets the following vulnerable categories:
- Persons with disabilities,
- Individuals with serious illnesses,
- Single elderly persons (aged 55 and above),
- Households with elderly members lacking family support,
- Single mothers, fathers, or guardians of minor children,
- Large families,
- Pregnant women and mothers with children under three years old.
Households that have previously received similar financial housing aid from other organizations or funds are not eligible to apply for this specific support.
Applicants are required to prepare specific documentation for registration, including:
- Passport,
- Tax identification code,
- IDP certificate,
- Bank account details (IBAN),
- Documents confirming vulnerable status.
This documentation is necessary to ensure the funds are used for their intended purpose and reach those in greatest need.
This new project in the Poltava region represents a crucial step in supporting vulnerable populations facing severe hardship due to the war. Registration is currently open, and all interested parties are encouraged to learn about the participation terms and submit their applications for this vital financial assistance.
