Yaroslav Hulyuk: A Hero and Defender of Ukraine

On September 22, 2025, in the village of Borova, Kyiv region, Yaroslav Hulyuk was killed, who fought for the freedom of Ukraine from the first days of the Russian invasion. This was reported by 'Glavkom' with reference to the Fastiv City Council.

Yaroslav was born on February 24, 1972, in a large Christian family. He was always devoted to both his family and his country, studying at a local school, demonstrating diligence and responsibility in all his endeavors.

“Yaroslav Hulyuk had a good heart and always helped those in need, especially the elderly and lonely. He was an honest man who always supported truth and justice and remained an example of kindness and care,” noted the Fastiv City Council.

After the invasion began, Yaroslav joined the territorial defense, and on October 12, 2022, he voluntarily went to the front. For almost two years he fought, but due to heart problems acquired in the conflict zone, he was demobilized and became disabled.

According to the city council, he was a pillar for his family and a good friend to many.

Yaroslav left behind his wife Natalia, children Yulia and Rostyslav, granddaughter Emilia, as well as relatives and the whole community. The hero was buried on September 24, 2025, at the Borivske cemetery.

Today 'Glavkom' joins the moment of silence to honor the memory of all Ukrainians who gave their lives for the Motherland. We remember all who died as a result of Russian aggression and light candles in memory of their sacrifices.

Such commemorations not only preserve the memory of the fallen heroes but also unite our nation in this difficult time. Yaroslav Hulyuk, like many others, became a symbol of resilience and the desire to protect the native land, and the memory of him will forever remain in the hearts of Ukrainians.
