How Ukraine's Wounded Soldiers Receive Monthly Payments of 100,000 UAH During Treatment.
Financial Support for Injured Military Personnel
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian service members who sustain injuries in the line of duty continue to receive their regular pay along with additional compensation. The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has outlined the procedure for these payments, which are provided to soldiers undergoing treatment for combat wounds.
These payments continue throughout hospital treatment, whether in Ukraine or abroad. The primary monetary allowance is calculated based on the service member's last held position. An additional monthly compensation of 100,000 Ukrainian hryvnias (UAH) is provided, though this specific payment may be discontinued if the injury is not deemed severe.
To qualify for these payments, service members must submit a Certificate of Injury Circumstances, signed by their unit commander. If treatment extends beyond four months, a conclusion from the Military Medical Commission (VLC) is required. Furthermore, the support package includes funds for rehabilitation and material assistance to help resolve social and domestic issues.
Social Support for Service Members
The state also provides a one-time monetary payment for health damage sustained while performing official duties. These measures are designed to support service members during a difficult period in their lives and ensure their social protection during treatment.
Payments to wounded service members are a crucial element of social support, demonstrating the state's commitment to those who defend it.
These initiatives not only assist with medical treatment but also contribute to soldiers' psychological recovery by providing financial stability during rehabilitation. Given the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, supporting wounded military personnel remains critically important for both national security and social stability. This system reflects a significant financial commitment by the state to care for its defenders.
