Strengthening Air Defense. Zelensky reported on 'rather serious' agreements.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the results of the 'Ramstein' meeting. He stated that 19 additional air defense systems will definitely arrive in Ukraine. Zelensky confirmed that the partners supported a sufficient number of systems. Ukraine and its partners are working on ensuring that the systems arrive as quickly as possible. The president noted that some systems are in the process of restoration and the main task is their prompt restoration.
In Rome, Volodymyr Zelensky met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. They exchanged handshakes before the meeting began.
The President of Ukraine arrived in Italy on the evening of January 9. Today he planned to meet with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. According to plans, on January 10, Zelensky will also meet with President of Italy Sergio Mattarella. The main topics for discussion during the meetings will be: defense support, an international conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine, which will take place in Italy in the summer, coordination of international efforts to achieve peace, and Euro-Atlantic integration.
