Ukrainian citizens in the Czech Republic are receiving foreign passports in the usual manner, but men of conscription age must update their military registration data. This was stated by the Ukrainian ambassador in the Czech Republic, Vasyl Zvarych, in an interview with 'Radio Svoboda'.

'I know that the State Enterprise 'Document' has resumed the issuance of passports. And now this process is occurring normally. If we talk about the embassy, since the State Enterprise 'Document' is not a structural unit of the embassy, we are issuing passports without any problems,' the diplomat said.

He reminded that the procedure is carried out in accordance with current legislation and requires clarification of registration data.

«The only legislative requirement that applies to everyone is that for individuals of conscription age, one of the requirements for the documents that must be provided for obtaining a passport is that the current registration data in the TCK must be confirmed. That is, the mobile application «Reserve+» must be updated. We cannot bypass this norm because it is enshrined in law,» Zvarych said. He added that Ukrainian citizens are asked to understand this and comply with the law.

It is noted that the Ukrainian ambassador in the Czech Republic, Vasyl Zvarych, stated that Ukraine does not plan to forcibly return men of conscription age who are abroad. He emphasized that the defense of the homeland is a duty of every citizen, but the decision about returning remains with each individual.

'I will say and reassure everyone that this is not about any coercive measures to return Ukrainians to Ukraine - especially those who are of conscription age. Of course, motivation is the consciousness of every citizen of Ukraine,' the ambassador said.

This statement came against the backdrop of reports that more than 250,000 men from Ukraine live in the Czech Republic, of whom over 95,000 have temporary protection visas and are of conscription age.

Poles are outraged by the behavior of Ukrainian refugees in Poland

Poles are also outraged by the behavior of some Ukrainian refugees in Poland. This was stated by the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense, Wojciech Kosiniak-Kamysz. In particular, the minister commented on the proposal of Foreign Minister Władysław Sikorski to deprive social benefits from Ukrainian men of conscription age in Poland. According to him, in this way various methods can be created for the return of men to Ukraine, but they must act not only in Poland.
