Israeli diplomat urges Zelensky to visit his country

Due to military actions in Ukraine and Israel, diplomatic relations between these countries remain at the forefront.

The Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, expressed his readiness to receive the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, at any Time in an interview with the "Mirror of the Week". He emphasized the importance of such a visit for both countries, but left the choice of date to the Office of the President of Ukraine.

"We are ready to receive him at any moment. This is a necessary visit for both our countries. And we would be happy if he comes to Israel," Brodsky stated.

In particular, the diplomat also did not rule out the possibility of a visit by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Ukraine, even if it happens before Zelensky's visit to Israel. However, he noted that during the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine, Netanyahu has not visited Kyiv, although Israeli delegations have been in Ukraine.

Brodsky explained that this is due to limited opportunities for foreign trips in connection with military actions in both countries. He noted that the Israeli Prime Minister almost does not travel abroad due to the ongoing active military actions in Israel.

In the interview, Brodsky also noted that contacts between Israel and Russia have been minimized due to Russian aggression against Ukraine and the events of the attack by Hamas on Israel.
