Air alert due to ballistic threat lasted half an hour.

At 13:00 in Kyiv and the region, air raid sirens sounded. The danger also spread to the eastern, northern, and central regions. The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned about the threat of a ballistic missile strike.

We remind you that on the morning of August 17, during the announced air alert in Sumy, a powerful explosion occurred. There was damage in the area of Svobody Avenue. After this incident, two people were injured.

Additionally, the Russian invaders struck a critical infrastructure facility in the Kherson region. They also shelled educational institutions and homes. Six people were injured, including one child.

It was also reported that during the night of August 17 and early in the morning, the Russian army attacked the Kyiv region using drones. Air defense systems were activated, and targets were shot down.
