Decree on the Awarding of the 2026 Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine
According to TSN.ua: The President of Ukraine has issued a decree to award the Taras Shevchenko National Prize for 2026. The decision, formalized by Decree No. 220/2026, was made by the head of state based on a submission from the Shevchenko Prize Committee.
2026 Shevchenko Prize Winners
Each laureate of the 2026 Shevchenko Prize will receive 484,480 hryvnias. This award is considered one of Ukraine's highest honors in the fields of culture and the arts. The prize is named for Taras Shevchenko, the nation's iconic poet and artist, whose legacy is celebrated annually on March 9-10 during Shevchenko Days.
