The President Established the Day of Army Aviation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree establishing the Day of Army Aviation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is stated in decree No. 17/2025.
According to this decree, the Day of Army Aviation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be celebrated annually on July 3.
The decree specifies that this decision was made 'to honor the courage and heroism of the soldiers of the army aviation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, shown in the struggle for freedom, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as to initiate modern military traditions.'
We remind you that previously Zelensky signed a decree establishing February 5 as the Day of the State Special Transport Service. The State Special Transport Service is a specialized state authority that ensures the safety and functioning of transportation infrastructure, especially in emergency situations, during war, or other crises.
It is also worth noting that Zelensky introduced a new state holiday - the Day of Interethnic Harmony and Cultural Diversity.
As a note, the commander of the Ground Forces spoke about decisions made after the scandal with the 155th brigade. According to him, the formation and armament of the 155th separate mechanized brigade 'Anna Kyivska' took place for the first Time with the help of a foreign country and lasted only a few months.
The majority of systemic flaws that were made by the Ground Forces, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and the Operational Command at all stages of the formation of the 155th brigade were analyzed and evaluated. Some of the issues have already received solutions.
