Bulsification of conscripts: representative of the TCC explained the legality of the procedure.
According to inkorr.com: Roman Istomin, a representative of the Poltava Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Protection, mentioned in a conversation with 'Glavkom' that the 'bulsification' of conscripts, which can often be seen in videos on social media, occurs within the law.
Coercive measures during wartime
He explained that the forced delivery of conscripts is a common practice in wartime when citizens try to avoid fulfilling their duties. The state resorts to this only in cases when individuals do not want to serve under contract or during mobilization.
'Forced delivery does not mean automatic mobilization. Often after verification at the TCC, it turns out that the individual is entitled to deferment but did not manage to formalize it', - Istomin noted.
He also emphasized that although the practice of forced delivery may cause some discontent, it remains vitally necessary in wartime conditions.
'Unfortunately, sometimes only coercion remains. Our civilized country still has enemies, and we are obliged to defend it in case of need', - Istomin concluded.
Situation with staffing
As of today, the staffing of the TCC and SP is less than 40%. Military ombudsman Olga Reshetilova reported that employees of territorial recruitment centers often work without days off for six months.
The state has the right to use coercion to ensure security in critical times when some citizens try to avoid military service. The forced delivery of conscripts is a lawful measure applied in extreme cases when other methods yield no results. At the same time, the issue of staffing in military centers remains serious, as many employees face challenging conditions while trying to prepare soldiers for modern challenges.
