Military Man in Mykolaiv Oblast Sold Humanitarian Cars: He Faces Up to 7 Years in Prison
A military man from Mykolaiv attempted to sell vehicles provided to the Armed Forces as humanitarian aid. However, he was caught red-handed, and the enterprise faces imprisonment with confiscation of property.

This was reported by the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the southern region.

Case Details

The serviceman tried to sell all-terrain vehicles that were imported into Ukraine as humanitarian aid for the needs of the Defense Forces through an online resource. The list of illegally offered cars included a BMW X5, two Mercedes-Benz ML 270 cars, and a Renault Koleos.

The total sum of money that the suspect received for the sale of humanitarian property amounted to 21,800 USD. The serviceman was detained immediately after receiving the money and handing over the documents for the vehicles.

What Punishment Awaits

The individual has been formally charged under Part 3 of Article 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal use of humanitarian aid for profit during martial law). He faces 5 to 7 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. The suspect has been placed in custody with an alternative of bail in the amount of 242,240 UAH.

It is worth noting that recently we reported on a contractor profiting from road repairs, and officials from Odesa who caused budget losses of 200 million.

During the detention, it was revealed that the serviceman attempted to deceive the system and sell vehicles received as humanitarian aid for the Armed Forces. Such actions are unacceptable and undermine trust in the military, who must receive support from society.
