Leaving Ukraine and Starting a New Life Abroad

According to TSN.ua: Roman Chereniv, known professionally as Morphom, was one of Ukraine's most sought-after music producers before the war, collaborating with stars like Jamala, Olya Polyakova, Natalia Mohylevska, and Jerry Heil. He has now shared his story of fleeing Ukraine following Russia's full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, and his subsequent life in Poland and Portugal. The producer's journey reflects the wider experience of millions of Ukrainians displaced by the conflict.

On the night before the invasion, Morphom had just returned to Kyiv. His family decided to leave immediately when the attack began.

"We didn't even have time to lie down before it all started,"
Roman recalled.
"Without thinking, we grabbed the children, our unpacked suitcases that were by the door, jumped in the car, and drove to the border."
The family initially settled in Poland before later moving to Portugal.

Charity Work and Supporting Ukraine from Abroad

Morphom is now deeply involved in charitable efforts, organizing concerts to raise funds for Ukraine. He held his first benefit concert just two weeks after arriving in Portugal.

"We strive to be useful for Ukraine. And what I can do best is organize concerts,"
Chereniv stated. His initiatives aim to support war-affected people and gather crucial aid for his homeland during this difficult period.

Roman Chereniv's story illustrates not only personal trials but also the broader resilience of Ukrainians during wartime. His activities in Poland and Portugal show how Ukrainian artists are adapting to new realities while maintaining a vital connection to their homeland. The charity concerts he organizes are a significant contribution to supporting conflict victims and demonstrate the solidarity and unity of the Ukrainian diaspora community.
