According to inkorr.com: One of Ukraine's prosecutors lost his position due to refusal to undergo a medical examination and obtain disability without proper checks. The commission emphasized that such actions damage the reputation of law enforcement agencies and violate ethical standards for prosecutors.
“His reluctance to undergo a medical examination within the framework of the pre-trial investigation to verify the legality of his II group disability establishment compromised him as a state representative and undermined trust in law enforcement agencies overall,” it is stated in the materials of the disciplinary complaint.
In his defense, the prosecutor once noted that summons for medical examinations were only advisory and not mandatory according to the legislation. However, such actions by high-ranking officials demand accountability and can negatively impact the reputation of the prosecutor's office as a whole.
Thus, the situation underscores the importance of adhering to ethical standards and accountability in law enforcement agencies. The loss of the prosecutor's position due to refusal of examinations can serve as a lesson for other state representatives, as public trust in law enforcement agencies is extremely important.Read also
