The tragedy claimed the lives of two workers

The head of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration Andrii Raikovych expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.

“We thank all emergency services for their work in extreme conditions,” he noted.

The Ministry of Energy also expressed its condolences:

“We sincerely sympathize with the family of the deceased at the Eastern Mining and Processing Plant, Volodymyr Kosyuk,” the agency added.

Volodymyr Kosyuk was 43 years old. He worked at the Ingulska mine of the Eastern Mining and Processing Plant and died as a result of an accident. He is survived by his wife and an 11-year-old daughter.

It was previously reported that on November 11, an emergency situation occurred at the Ingulska mine of the Eastern Mining and Processing Plant. A hydro-filling mixture burst in the underground workings of the worked-out block, flooding two levels of the mine.

There were four workers in the mine. Two of them managed to escape on their own. The fate of the other two remained unknown until it was discovered that one of the miners had died.

This tragedy has been a heavy blow for the local community and the colleagues of the deceased. Such incidents highlight the importance of safety in the workplace, especially in hazardous conditions such as mines. Relevant services continue to work on resolving the consequences of this tragedy and are taking necessary measures to prevent similar cases in the future.
