Putin ordered to oust the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Kursk: Zelensky named the terms.
Zelensky: Putin wants to push Ukrainian troops out of the Kursk region
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that Volodymyr Putin intends to relocate Ukrainian troops from the Kursk region by January 20, 2025, in order to be able to attend the inauguration in the USA on January 20. He reported this during a conversation with journalists at the third International Conference on Food Security Grain from Ukraine, as reported by 'Ukrinform'.
“I am confident that Putin wants to oust us from Kursk by January 20. It is very important for him to demonstrate to the world that he has control over the situation. But this does not correspond to reality. The Kursk operation is not a game. We have shown that he cannot fully protect his state. He has completely subjected the occupation and destruction of Ukraine,” Zelensky stated.
The President also emphasized that Russia has not suffered losses as devastating as those our troops are experiencing in the Kursk direction.
On the other hand, Zelensky stressed that the most difficult situation is currently occurring in eastern Ukraine.
“Putin wants to show that he will accomplish the so-called SVO tasks - occupy the entire Donbas, and he needs to push us out of the Kursk direction. These are the two tasks he has,” Zelensky noted.
Recall that as a result of the strike on the Kursk region on November 20, 500 North Korean soldiers, General Valery Solodchuk, 18 Russian officers were killed, and 33 soldiers were injured.
Also, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not currently planning to withdraw troops from the territories of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation controlled by them.
