Putin will go to war with Moldova if Ukraine falls — German MFA.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock stated that supporting Ukraine guarantees the survival of Moldova. She emphasized that in case of victory in the Russo-Ukrainian war, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will go to war with Moldova, reports Reuters.
"It is clear that what concerns people here the most: if Ukraine falls, Moldova will be next," Baerbock said in Chisinau at a conference dedicated to the spread of Russian interference in the region.
Along with her, the foreign ministers of France, Romania, Poland, the Netherlands, and Lithuania arrived there. They visited the Partnership Platform with Moldova. The country's president, Maia Sandu, stated that Chisinau faces serious challenges caused by the war, and she urged partners to increase their support.
In April, Moldovan Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi stated that in case of a victory in Ukraine, the Russian army will attack his country. He emphasized that currently, the Russians are waging a hybrid war against Chisinau.
