Putin Receives Distorted Reports on the War: Why the Kremlin Rejects Peace Proposals.
According to ТСН: Russian military and intelligence services deliberately distort information about the situation on the front, presenting dictator Putin with a twisted version of events. He believes that Russia has every chance of winning the war against Ukraine.
According to the report, the disinformation reaching the Kremlin influences Putin's decisions. Due to this information flow, he does not accept the terms of conflict resolution proposed by the US president, although they could prove beneficial for Russia.
Distortion of Reality
Unknown officials noted that in the reports for the Kremlin, Russian military and intelligence representatives significantly exaggerate Ukraine's losses, emphasizing Russia's improper advantage in resources, and downplay their own failures on the battlefield.
According to them, such an overly optimistic picture that the dictator sees at military briefings fuels his confidence in the possibility of winning the war through military actions.
Despite Warnings
Putin's belief in a 'successful scenario' remains unshaken, even despite warnings from his entourage. As the publication writes, the dictator 'regularly meets with trusted individuals who explain to him that the war is becoming an increasingly heavy burden for the Moscow economy, which is already showing signs of stagnation.'
Earlier, it was reported that Russians planned to prepare a package of counter-demands, including new restrictions for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, lifting sanctions, and territorial concessions, which are unacceptable for Kyiv.
It is also known that Russia not only rejected the proposal for a Christmas truce but continues to launch massive strikes and kill people on the day when Ukrainians celebrate Christmas Eve.
This situation indicates a deep incompatibility between the reality on the front and the perception of events in the Kremlin. Based on distorted reports, Putin continues to wage war, which, in turn, only deepens the crisis in Russia's economy. While the international community calls for peace initiatives, the Kremlin remains closed to proposals, forcing the Ukrainian authorities to turn to active measures to defend their territory.
