Ukraine can use the issue of providing TAURUS missiles as an argument ahead of early elections in the Bundestag of Germany. This opinion was expressed by political scientist Igor Reiterovich. He noted that German politicians have more opportunities to make decisions during the election period. Therefore, the provision of support to Ukraine in the form of TAURUS missiles may become relevant.

'The story with 'Taurus' may take on new colors... And this could be decisions regarding support for Ukraine,' Reiterovich said.

Leader of the Free Democratic Party faction Christian Dürr stated that the issue of TAURUS could be put to a vote in the Bundestag. The Green faction noted that support for the supply of missiles will be possible if the SPD also agrees. Reiterovich commented on this situation and noted that the position of the German political class regarding TAURUS missiles may change due to the elections.

'The majority of Germans definitely support Ukraine, but they have questions about 'Taurus'... But I wouldn't be surprised if Scholz tries to use this factor to maintain power,' the expert concluded.
