Russians attacked Kryvyi Rih with Iskanders: 17 injured, destroyed houses.
According to ТСН: As a result of the attack by Russian troops on Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, 29 multi-storey buildings were damaged, and 17 people were injured. In the evening on January 8, the enemy struck with two ballistic missiles "Iskander" after a powerful combined attack at night.
The head of the city's defense council, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported on the devastating consequences of this attack.
According to him, among the injured are three children and eight women. Currently, 15 people in hospitals are waiting for medical assistance.
"One man is in serious condition, another is in critical condition. The others are in moderate condition. All of them are receiving all necessary medical assistance, and doctors are fighting for their lives," Vilkul reported.
The city suffered damage to 29 multi-storey buildings, ten of which were severely affected, and one was almost destroyed.
"Also, up to ten business facilities and cars were damaged. In addition to residential buildings, infrastructure objects were also affected," said the head of the city defense council.
Due to the attack, many residents were left without electricity, but power engineers are working to restore power supply.
"Currently, 115,823 subscribers are disconnected from electricity, while half an hour ago, 161 thousand were disconnected - 45,177 were switched to other lines," Vilkul clarified.
He also noted that the water supply system in the city is functioning, but the pressure in the network may be reduced. Due to the disconnection of four large boiler houses, about 1,400 houses are left without heating.
"The boiler house PivhZK is operational, and we plan to restore heating in all 335 houses by morning," Oleksandr Vilkul promised.
At the site of the strike, an emergency rescue operation is underway involving all emergency response services and municipal services.
"A headquarters for helping people has been set up and is operational, all necessary building materials have been delivered. Those whose apartments were damaged can receive them - OSB, film, slats, and others. Applications for material assistance from the city are also being accepted - 16 applications have already been received," noted the head of the city defense council.
Let us remind you that in the evening of January 8, Russian troops shelled residential neighborhoods of Kryvyi Rih with ballistic missiles "Iskander."
This attack underscores the ongoing threat to the civilian population in Ukraine, where active hostilities continue. Local authorities and emergency services are doing everything possible to assist those affected and quickly restore infrastructure. The situation remains complicated, but the residents of Kryvyi Rih hope for a speedy return to normal life.
