Odesa Rocket Strike Leaves Four Injured and Damages Monastery Residential Building.
Attack on Odesa on March 21, 2023
According to Novyny.live: On March 21, 2023, Russian forces launched a rocket attack on the city of Odesa, resulting in civilian casualties and structural damage. Four Kh-59 missiles were deployed during the incident, two of which were successfully intercepted by Ukrainian air defense systems.
The strike severely damaged a three-story residential building located on the grounds of an Odesa monastery. Four people were injured in the attack, with one individual sustaining a concussion that required hospitalization.
Impact on Civilians
Additionally, during the night of March 20, two foreign commercial vessels—one flagged under Palau and the other under Barbados—came under fire. A previous attack on Odesa on March 19 involved drone strikes that caused destruction across three districts of the city. These incidents highlight the escalating military activity in the region and its toll on the civilian population.
This attack is part of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which continues to have severe consequences for innocent civilians. The increasing frequency of bombardments, especially in areas near the front line, underscores the dangers faced not only by military personnel but also by ordinary people. This raises serious concerns about safety in Ukraine and overall stability in the region.
