Disabled individuals face difficulties traveling abroad: losing access to treatment due to reform.
Disabled individuals in Ukraine are facing new challenges at the border. Yurii Kozak was not allowed to travel for treatment abroad due to the lack of necessary documents. He explained that this happened due to the reform, after which the affairs of disabled individuals were transferred to the Pension Fund. The man lost money on tickets and hotel reservations due to the impossibility of crossing the border.
Situation after the reform
According to inkorr.com: Representatives of the Pension Fund reported that after the reform all social payments have been suspended. People who are not military personnel need to undergo recertification to extend the validity of their certificates. Those who receive new conclusions will be able to obtain a new certificate for pension benefits.
Travel problems
Every day, disabled individuals face new challenges, especially when traveling abroad. Changes in state administration may complicate obtaining the necessary support, which, in turn, affects their quality of life.
The reasons for the new difficulties faced by people with disabilities are a result of imperfect reforms that have placed them in a vulnerable position. The government urgently needs to find solutions to rectify the situation and ensure access to medical care for all who need it. Over time, we hope for improved travel conditions and social support for this category of people.
