The Russian army is trying to encircle Pokrovsk
Spokesman of the operational-strategic grouping of troops 'Khortytsia' Viktor Trehubov reported that the Russian army is trying to hold positions in the villages near Pokrovsk in order to advance and encircle the city.
'There are several small settlements near Pokrovsk. There are Yelizavetivka, Lysivka, Zeleny, Promin, Novyi Trud, etc. The Russians are trying to establish themselves in every house and continue advancing,' said Trehubov.
The spokesman also noted that the occupiers are trying to partially encircle Pokrovsk. They have plans to reach the forest belt near the highway, which is the supply route to the city.
'I wouldn’t say they have done this yet, but they are trying hard and have significant resources. These are primarily human, technical, and logistical resources,' Trehubov added.
Over the past day, the Russian army carried out 28 airstrikes and used 36 KABs, two missile strikes, and 985 kamikaze drones for attacks. Additionally, there were five thousand shelling incidents against the positions of the Ukrainian forces and settlements.
