Relatives of fallen defenders have the right to assistance: what documents will prove the connection.
Right to receive monetary assistance
According to Novyny.live: Relatives of fallen servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have the right to receive a one-time monetary assistance from the state if they can confirm their family relationship with the deceased. To receive this assistance, certain documents proving family ties must be provided.
Necessary documents
First of all, the wife or husband of the deceased must provide:
- a copy of the marriage certificate
- an extract from the State Register of Civil Status Acts (SRCSA)
Children of the deceased must provide:
- copies of birth certificates
- an extract from the SRCSA to confirm their family relationship
For the parents of the deceased, it is necessary to provide:
- a copy of the serviceman's birth certificate
- an extract from the SRCSA
In case the parents of the deceased were deprived of parental rights, they must provide a copy of the court decision on the restoration of parental rights. These documents are mandatory for receiving monetary assistance, and their presence allows relatives of fallen servicemen to exercise their rights to support from the state during this difficult time.
This initiative emphasizes the state's obligation to support the families of servicemen who died while performing their official duties.
The importance of providing financial assistance in such situations lies in the fact that it can become significant support for families who have suffered the loss of a loved one. The transparency of the assistance receipt process and clarity of document requirements can help avoid misunderstandings and ensure faster receipt of the necessary support.
