According to Espreso.tv: The family of Serhii Prykhodko, a pilot who died on March 7, 2025, during an evacuation mission, has been posthumously awarded the UN Medal for Peacekeeping Operations for his courage. The honor was given to the recognized aviator of the Ukrainian Helicopters airline, who showed extraordinary bravery while carrying out his duties under dangerous conditions. This medal is one of the UN's most prestigious peacekeeping honors, typically reserved for acts of exceptional valor in the field.

Prykhodko lost his life when his crew came under enemy fire during an evacuation operation. Despite the attack, the helicopter he piloted managed to rescue eight people, saving their lives at a critical moment. This heroic act earned recognition through the Captain Mbaye Diagne Medal, which has been awarded only three times since its creation in 2014.
