Russia attacked the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant: the station has lost power supply.
According to inkorr.com: On the night of October 4, Russian terrorists launched a new attack on Chernihiv, using strike drones. As a result of the attack, critical infrastructure was damaged, leading to large-scale fires, reports Glavkom.
That same day, Russian occupiers conducted another attack in the Donetsk region, trying to hit important facilities in the area.
According to the regional military administration, the enemy was targeting critical infrastructure. Energy facilities in Donetsk became the target of the attack, which resulted in power outages in certain areas.
As a result of these actions, Druzhkivka and Konstantinivka were left without electricity, as well as part of Kramatorsk. An emergency situation also arose at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, leading to a loss of power supply.
Chernobyl NPP without electricity after the attack
After the Russian attack on the energy facility in Slavutych, the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was left in a blackout. This led to the new safe sarcophagus, which protects the damaged 4th reactor, remaining without electricity due to voltage issues.
It should be noted that on October 1, Russian occupiers also attacked Slavutych, which resulted in power outages in the city and left about 20,000 local residents without electricity.
The current situation indicates a serious threat from Russian terrorists to Ukraine's energy security and emphasizes the need to strengthen security and defense measures in the country.
