Russia attacked the Sloviansk TPP: two energy workers killed.
Russian airstrike on the Sloviansk thermal power plant
According to inkorr.com: Russian planes struck the Sloviansk thermal power plant in the Donetsk region. As a result of the attack, two energy workers were killed: Serhiy Dyachenko and Mykhailo Hryhoriev, while five other employees were injured.
According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the aggressor dropped a guided bomb on the territory of the plant, causing significant damage to the equipment of the engineering and laboratory building. The ministry emphasized that Russian terrorists deliberately attack those who provide electricity to the population.
“Russian terrorists deliberately strike at those who bring light to people. They continue their cynical terror against civilians and critical infrastructure,” the ministry stated.
The DTEK company also confirmed the casualties and injuries among the thermal power plant workers, expressing condolences to the families of the deceased and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
This attack underscores the ruthlessness of the Russian military, who continue to strike civilian infrastructure and people's lives. The deaths of energy workers and the injuries to their colleagues are yet another terrible consequence of Russian aggression. DTEK calls for safety at critical infrastructure facilities, as this is vital for ensuring electricity supply in Ukraine.
