Zelensky signed a decree: martial law in Ukraine extended until 2026.
According to inkorr.com: Russian occupiers have again struck at Ukraine's energy infrastructure. As a result, two employees of Slavyansk TPP were injured. President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed condolences to the families of the victims and urged the international community to take adequate actions in response to such terrorist acts.
"Just now, a few hours ago, there was a strike on Slavyansk TPP – a strike from Russian bombs. Unfortunately, two people died. My condolences. There are injured. This is purely terror. Normal people do not fight like this, and there should be an appropriate reaction from the world to such a Russian war."
Former head of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytskyi was released from prison after posting bail. He is prohibited from leaving Kyiv without law enforcement permission, communicating with witnesses, and is required to wear an electronic bracelet. Kudrytskyi plans to appeal the court's decision.
An explosion occurred at Ukrposhta processing centers, injuring two customs officers and three Ukrposhta employees. Emergency services temporarily suspended their activities, and the investigation is ongoing. Specialists have already identified the sender and found another suspicious package.
Zelensky signed laws on martial law and mobilization
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed laws extending the martial law and general mobilization in the country for 90 days. These measures will remain in effect at least until February 3, 2026. Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada supported Zelensky's proposal to extend martial law and mobilization.
TikTok switches to new owners
The deal to transfer American assets of TikTok has received approval from China and the USA. The new company that will control the app in the USA will mostly belong to American investors, while the Chinese company ByteDance will lose most of its shares.
Today's events reflect the growing tension in Ukraine, increased threats to employees of energy facilities and post offices, as well as important legislative initiatives aimed at strengthening the country's defense capability.
