According to Novyny.live: In a large-scale overnight attack on March 4, Russian forces launched 149 assault drones, including Shahed, 'Gerbera', and 'Italmas' models, against Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted or neutralized 129 of these hostile unmanned aerial vehicles by 08:30. A separate attack in the Sumy region claimed the life of a 48-year-old man. These incidents starkly illustrate the ongoing human cost of Russia's aggression against Ukrainian civilians.
Consequences and the Critical Need for Support
This attack underscores the persistent military tension in a conflict that has now lasted for years. The widespread use of drones highlights the evolving tactics of the aggressor and underscores Ukraine's continuous need to enhance its air defense capabilities to protect its people.
The severe consequences for local populations emphasize the critical importance of sustained international support in bolstering Ukraine's security and safeguarding civilian lives.
