Russia Attempts to Save Equipment from Drones with a Strange 'Hairy' BMP.
A Russian combat vehicle with a special type of armor designed to protect against drones has been spotted on the front in Ukraine. This armor allows neutralization of warheads before they hit the vehicle. The Russian military is trying to adapt its equipment to the rapid development of drones.
A Russian TV channel showed this combat vehicle with sharp 'bristles' and wavy 'hair', moving near Chasiv Yar in Donetsk.
Ukrainian military analysts believe that this armor could be used to protect against the latest FPV drones, which operate through fiber-optic cables. They complicate the interception of such drones by electronic warfare systems.
Similar designs have already been used in the fight against drones and have shown effectiveness, especially in combination with additional layers of armor and electronic warfare tools.
The warring parties constantly improve their tactics, and the fight against drones has become a key element of combat operations. However, neither side has gained a decisive advantage in this race for technological progress.
Earlier, reports mentioned Russian losses in the Pokrovsk direction over the month.
Recall that in the last 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 1,320 occupiers. Overall, since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, 840,360 Russians have been killed.
The full-scale war continues into its 1,075th day.
