Russia employs controlled Shaheds: how the tactics of strikes have changed.

According to ТСН: Russia has expanded its capabilities for strikes on Ukraine, particularly through the use of controlled drones 'Shaheds'.

Aviation expert Valeriy Romanenko noted on Radio NV that strikes have begun to be carried out not only in the south but also in the north, west, and northwest. Previously, the focus was on the southwestern regions, but now attacks also cover other parts of the country. Experts confirm new attempts to use controlled 'Shaheds'.

'Overall, strikes are being recorded in the north, west, and northwest. Earlier they were mainly in the southwest, but now they are also in the south and southeast. Russia has decided to expand the geography of attacks, and the new 'Shaheds' are hitting other regions,' said the expert.

Drone Control

Romanenko also commented on the shelling of a train near Korosten, pointing to the possibility of controlling drones from Belarus:

'I see control from Belarus. It's possible to place a control station and manage 'Shaheds' from the territory of Belarus. Most likely, this was the case, as there are hundreds of kilometers to Russian territory.'

The expert also noted that control could have been carried out via the Starlink system installed on the drones.

Experiments with 'Shaheds'

Previously, there were reports about Russia's experiments in equipping 'Shaheds' with outdated Soviet missiles R-60, which were allegedly used to target Ukrainian aviation and bypass air defense. However, experts believe that such an approach is ineffective: the drone does not provide adequate targeting, and the missile itself is morally outdated and poses no serious threat to aviation.

At the same time, the use of a dual warhead significantly increases the strike potential of drones against ground targets, raising the risk during mass attacks.

Recent events indicate that Russia is constantly adapting its tactics and technical means in the conditions of war. The use of new technologies and drones indicates an increase in threats to Ukrainian infrastructure. The situation with attacking drones remains tense, and Ukrainian army specialists are forced to seek effective solutions to counter these new challenges.
