Russia attacked Naftogaz CHPP: what are the consequences for gas supply

On the night of October 15, the Naftogaz CHPP was attacked

According to inkorr.com: On the night of October 14-15, Russian terrorist troops attacked the Naftogaz CHPP. This was reported by the head of the company, Serhiy Koretsky, as reported by 'Zombiz'.

The company leader noted that over the past week, Russian troops have attacked Ukraine's gas infrastructure three times.

"That night, one of the CHPPs of the Naftogaz group was damaged. The enemy shelled gas production facilities in Kharkiv region. Earlier, it attacked gas infrastructure in Sumy and Chernihiv regions. These facilities have no military purpose. Russian terrorists are acting in terrorism to deprive Ukraine of gas, warmth, and light in winter," the message said.

Massive attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure

On the night of October 10, Russia again launched a massive attack on energy infrastructure facilities. This strike coincided with the anniversary of the start of shelling of the energy system, which began in 2022. President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that Russia attacked the Ukrainian energy system with more than 450 drones and over 30 rockets.

On the night of October 14, Russia also shelled energy facilities in Ukraine.

On October 15, Russian forces again conducted drone attacks on energy facilities in several regions, resulting in power outages in some areas, particularly in Dnipropetrovsk region.

These constant attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure jeopardize the lives and comfort of citizens, emphasizing that Russia continues its aggressive actions and has ignored international law.

The situation with the attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure remains critical. Russian attacks pose a threat not only to the functioning of vital facilities but also undermine Ukraine's efforts to ensure energy independence. In times of war, such actions by the enemy create additional challenges for the state and its citizens, especially during the winter period when the need for energy becomes even greater.
