Russia attacked ports in Odesa region: one person killed, infrastructure damaged.
According to ТСН: Russia has once again attacked two ports in the Odesa region, resulting in the death of one person.
Details of the attack
Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba reported that the enemy shelling led to damage to the ports' infrastructure, administrative buildings, and containers with oil.
"All services are working on-site, taking safety requirements into account, and the elimination of consequences is ongoing. The ports continue to operate," the government official noted.
In addition to the deceased, five more people were injured and are already receiving necessary medical assistance.
"This is another strike by the terrorist state on the port infrastructure that ensures the world's food security. Russia consciously attempts to undermine the economy and destroy maritime logistics," Oleksiy Kuleba emphasized.
Moreover, it is worth noting that at the end of December, Russian troops carried out a strike in the Odesa region, focusing their fire on infrastructure objects of the ports.
These attacks confirm the continuation of Russia's aggression against critically important infrastructure objects in Ukraine, threatening not only national security but also international food security. The Ukrainian government is working to protect strategic objects and provide support to those affected by the attacks.
