Russia accuses the Armed Forces of Ukraine of using a human shield: debunking misinformation.
Fake Russian propaganda about Ukrainian military
According to inkorr.com: Russian propagandists are again actively spreading false information, trying to discredit the Ukrainian military. In particular, they claim that the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Sosnivka, Dnipropetrovsk region, allegedly used civilians as a 'human shield', forcing them to help the wounded and dig trenches. However, the Center for Counteracting Disinformation calls this nothing but a lie without any evidence.
Misinformation from the Russian Ministry of Defense
In addition to this, the Russian Ministry of Defense intends to disseminate another piece of fake information, claiming the alleged destruction of a Ukrainian drone launch point in Chernihiv region. This information has already been refuted by experts. Furthermore, it is worth noting that Russia is preparing a new stage of an information campaign aimed at discrediting Ukraine’s political leadership and raising the issue of prisoner exchanges.
These disinformation attacks indicate a continuation of a campaign aimed at shaping a negative perception of the Ukrainian military and political leadership in the world. It is important to combat such fakes, as information security is an integral part of the defense strategy in the context of modern hybrid warfare.
